Roger D is proposing to host a trip for ASASA members to Thailand where he spends most of his time.

All members of the ASASA are welcome and actively encouraged to attend. The trip could be blokes only, or blokes and partners if interest is strong enough.

The basic itinerary would be:

– Melbourne to Bangkok direct flight 9 hours.

– One or two nights in Bangkok.

– Train journey to Kanchanaburi. Visit WW2 bridge over River Kwai site, war cemetery, museum and Hellfire Pass for 2 to 3 days.

– Transit to Chiang Mai, Thailand by VIP coach.

– Stay at Roger’s place (pictured) for a few days, and explore Chiang Mai region with Roger as your personal guide.

– Train journey or flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok.

The trip will be November 2024 / January 2025 to take advantage of weather and Roger’s availability.

Bookings and deposits will be 5-6 months in advance in order to take advantage of extremely cheap air fares.

The trip can cater for 10-12 persons.
